I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and small antiques which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world.  Please see my other offerings and thanks for stopping by!
ABOUT:
Old Victorian antique French silver plated box with a raised Art Nouveau goddess / woman on the front with Louis XVI / Rococo French floral designs around the sides of the box.  I believe the image is of Diana / Artemis. The underside of the box is smooth.  There is a dragon on her helmet with laurel around the helmet and an owl to the right off in the distance.  Box was used and loved, please see more important condition notes below.
Smaller size box for trinkets, pills or to hold a ring or a few small pieces of jewelry.
The piece measures a little over 1.5 inch in diameter and almost 1/2 inch thick.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition.  Quite a few spots of plate loss where the underlying brass shows through on the raised areas all around the edges and underside and on some parts of the cover.  The underside of the box is dented with dings and linear impressions, but it still sits stable.  Some deterioration to the metal and stubborn tarnish spots like on the cover to the right of her face.  Some surface wear,  and scratches as well so it was definitely used and loved and looks its age of over 100 years..  Hinge is still very tight and it snaps closed, although the lid is not air tight and can wobble up and down slightly.
But Please note that due to age this piece is not in mint condition.
