his
assortment of seven antique French tableware pieces is made up of:

A vintage silver plated sifter spoon. The handle features an elegant
Neoclassic
pattern of ribbons, laurel and acanthus leaves. The upper part has a cutwork motif in the shape of a rose window. It bear a maker’s mark consisting of the image of a fleur de
lys
above the letters “
S.M.F.
”. This piece is in good condition with the exception of signs of age and normal use.

A vintage cocktail fork featuring a silver plated handle designed with ribbons and a steel upper part. It is stamped with the number “60” indicating the silver content in grams. The handle shows faint scratches and the upper part exhibits signs of wear and darkening.

A vintage silver plate knife designed with laurel and acanthus leaves in the
Neoclassic
style. The stainless steel blade is stamped “
Inoxydable
”. There is a 1/8th inch gap where the blade joins to the handle, not affecting the solidity of the knife.

Four antique French silver clad pieces consisting of a dinner knife, two dessert knives and an olive spoon. On each side of the handles, above a blank cartouche, is an image of a cherub or angel, or perhaps the mythological figure Aeolus blowing a horn shaped flower. The blades of the knives are stamped “
Manche
argent
contrôlé
. Paris
” (Certified silver handles. Paris). The upper part of the spoon is pierced with floral motifs. These pieces show significant signs of wear on the handles, including large dents, cracks and some losses of the silver cladding.
