    Description

    This an Antique / Vintage BORGHESE Art Pottery Trinket Box with Antique Motif.
    This beautiful box with gilt decorations would be great for storage of any prized possession or for use as a jewelry box.  It would also make a wonderful presentation box for a special gift, or simply a beautiful object of art to display in your home.
    BORGHESE brand was made in USA by Niepold's Inc., Gaitherburg, Maryland, and that the company operated from 1900 to 1970.  Do not know specifically during that 70 year period this box was made.
    The box has a motif on the lid.  The background color is a red-brown to give the appearance of antique leather, overlaid with gilt.  The box is about 5" Long x 4 1/4"Wide x 3" High.
    The original sticker is still on the bottom, which is covered with a protective felt or similar fabric.
    Condition:
    The bowl is in very good condition with the exception of three very tiny surface flecks out of the glaze that are not very noticeable. These are very minor, less than 1/32" each.
