Antique French Bone of Bovid/Silver/Stainless 36 pces Knives & Forks GAVET 19th
This is a beautiful set of French cutlery dating from the early 1800s.
The handles are in bone of bovid with monograms, the rings between the handle and the blade are in silver and the blades are in stainless steel stamped GAVET COU. DU ROI
surmounted by a crown with an E.
What corresponds to the goldsmith Gavet coutelier du Roi - Gavet cutler of the King
between 1753 and 1840.
This set includes
12 table knives (25 cm)  9.84" long
the blades are in good condition, six handles are cracks (see last picture)
12 dessert or salad knives (20 cm) 7.87" long
the blades are in good condition, 6 handles have cracks (see last picture)
1 knife and 1 meat carving fork
