Description
Baluster-shaped sugar bowl in embossed and chiseled silver. It rests on a pedestal with gadroon molding and a collar enhanced with a corole of palm leaves and flowering stems. Two appliques laurel wreaths adorn each side of the upper part of the body. The side handles are decorated with acanthus leaves. The domed lid retains the same decoration as the lower part of the sugar bowl, it is surmounted by an acanthus-shaped socket in the form of a button. Interior in vermeil. Figure. Regence style. Silver 950/1000, Minerva Maitre Orfèvre hallmarks: Gustave Keller *, hallmark and a stamp in full letters. Height: 17 cm Length: 16.5 cm Weight: 472 gr Very good condition / without shocks or scratches * Gustave Keller Great Parisian goldsmith, noticed and appreciated he knows the consecration to the universal exhibitions, in 1867 he receives a silver medal and in 1878 a gold medal.
